In short: use Receipts on chats you're part of, treat the results as fun and reflection rather than fact about anyone's feelings, and manage subscriptions through Apple.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to Receipts: Chat Analyzer ("Receipts"), made by Streamline Studios (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us"). Receipts is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these terms. By using Receipts you agree to both.
2. Using Receipts
- Only import chats you're a participant in, or have the right to use.
- Don't use Receipts or its results to harass, threaten, stalk or embarrass anyone.
- Don't try to reverse engineer, overload or misuse the app or our analysis service.
3. What the results are
Receipts counts patterns in text and uses a language model to judge individual messages. Results are for entertainment and reflection. They can be wrong, and they can't tell you what anyone thinks or feels. They are not relationship, psychological, medical or legal advice, and shouldn't be the basis for important decisions.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
- Receipts Pro is an auto-renewing weekly subscription that includes 3 full chat reads in every rolling 7-day period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation and renews each week unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current week.
- One chat is a one-time purchase that unlocks the full read of a single chat.
- Extra 50,000-message packs are one-time purchases for chats over 50,000 messages. Each pack lets Receipts read up to 50,000 more messages of that chat.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
5. Your content
Your chats and results belong to you and stay on your device. See the privacy policy for how text is processed for analysis.
6. Availability
We work to keep Receipts running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features, and will try to give notice of significant changes.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Receipts is provided "as is", and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on results. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
